    • Prof. Dr.  Xueji Zhang

      School of Biomedical Engineering, Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, China.

      Research Interests: AI sensors; AI healthcare; analytical chemistry; AI diagnostics; biomedical engineering.

      Bio: Dr. Xueji Zhang serves as Vice President and Vice Chairman of the University Council at Shenzhen University, where he also holds the title of Distinguished Professor in Biomedical Engineering. Additionally, he is President of the Shenzhen Institute of Healthcare Security, a National Chair Professor at the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), and Executive President of the National Institute of Precision Medicine & Health. His research centers on biosensing, biomedicine, and biomaterials. He is the Editor-in-Chief of three leading journals in his field and holds prestigious memberships, including in the European Academy of Sciences,International Academy of Artificial Intelligence Sciences and the Russian Academy of Engineering. He is also a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) and the Royal Society of Chemistry. With over 900 published papers, more than 200 patents, and an H-index of 121, Dr. Zhang is recognized as one of the world’s top scientists.

    • Prof.  M. James C. Crabbe

      Supernumerary Fellow, Wolfson College, University of Oxford, Oxford, UK.

      Research Interests: AI application in biomedicine; AI and big data; AI and climate change and mitigation; AI and research education.

      Bio: Professor M. James C. Crabbe is an Emeritus Professor of Biochemistry and a distinguished academic leader with extensive experience at institutions including the University of Oxford, the University of Reading, and the University of Bedfordshire, where he held senior leadership roles. He is currently a Supernumerary Fellow at Wolfson College, Oxford, and serves as a senior advisor and honorary or visiting professor at several institutions in China. He has published nearly 400 peer-reviewed papers (h-index 44), with research focusing on biodiversity, marine science, and related interdisciplinary fields. Actively engaged in global initiatives, he is a member of the IUCN Coral Specialist Group and the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation, and has contributed to international dialogue, including co-hosting a session at the United Nations Ocean Conference. He is also a Fellow and former Vice-President of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology and currently chairs its Guild of Benevolence, alongside extensive experience in education governance and international academic collaboration.
