Aims & Scope

Cardio Nexus (CN) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal committed to advancing the understanding of cardiovascular disease through a systems-based approach. It serves as a platform for original research, reviews, clinical insights, and translational studies that examine the complex interactions between cardiovascular health and other organ systems, medical disciplines, and disease states. It is published quarterly online by Scilight Press.

Scope Includes (but is not limited to):

  • Pathophysiological links between cardiovascular disease and systemic conditions (e.g., renal, hepatic, pulmonary, neurologic, endocrine, oncologic, and rheumatologic).
  • Multidisciplinary strategies for cardiovascular diagnostics, management, and prevention.
  • Integrative care models for patients with complex or comorbid conditions.
  • Emerging research in cardio-metabolic, cardio-oncology, cardio-neurology, and cardio-immunology.
  • Cardiovascular effects of systemic therapies, including pharmacologic, immunologic, and oncologic treatments.
  • Innovations in interdisciplinary education, policy, and health system integration related to cardiovascular care.

CN promotes cross-specialty collaboration and bridges clinical practice with translational and population health research. The journal welcomes contributions from cardiology, internal medicine, nephrology, endocrinology, oncology, neurology, infectious disease, critical care, geriatrics, public health, and related fields.

The Journal Particularly Encourages Submissions That:

  • Apply advanced analytic methods (e.g., artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning) to cardiovascular research.
  • Investigate genetic, environmental, social, or biological factors influencing the relationship between cardiovascular and systemic diseases.
  • Explore the clinical application and implementation of novel diagnostics, therapeutics, and care models across specialties.
  • Bridge gaps between cardiology and other disciplines such as nephrology, neurology, oncology, endocrinology, immunology, geriatrics, and population health.

By integrating diverse methodologies and perspectives, CN aims to provide a comprehensive view of current knowledge and offer actionable insights for improving disease prevention and reducing mortality.

The journal serves as a hub for clinicians, researchers, and health system innovators dedicated to advancing cardiovascular care within the broader context of whole-body and interdisciplinary medicine.
