It is my great honour to introduce the inaugural issue of Electrochemical Engineering—a world-leading journal dedicated to advancing the field of electrochemical science and technology by publishing high quality, original, with high-impact research that bridges the gap between fundamental electrochemistry and its engineering applications. Electrochemical engineering is critically important because it lies at the intersection of electrochemisty, chemistry, physics, materials science, and engineering—and it directly addresses some of the most pressing global challenges, including clean energy, water purification, green manufacturing, and environmental remediation.
