Global Environmental Science (GES) is a peer-reviewed, open-access, multidisciplinary international journal for high-quality research in all areas of Environmental Sciences and related subjects with the emphasis on various pollutants in air, water, soil and their pollution control mechanisms, environmental geochemistry processes, environmental exposure, toxicity and risk assessment. GES publishes a wide range of original research articles, communications, reviews, letters, commentaries, and perspectives. It aims to serve as a prominent international platform for academic exchange, striving to become the world's leading international journal in the field of environmental sciences.

The Editorial Office intend to establish the Early Career Editorial Board, which will serve as a dynamic academic platform and enable its members to exchange ideas with distinguished experts while contributing to the journal’s development and outreach. By joining the Early Career Editorial Board, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with the current Editorial Board members in creating a vibrant academic platform and fostering global research collaborations.

Eligibility

  • Strong academic background in environmental science and related disciplines, and a solid track record of publications in reputable journals.
  • Actively engaged in scientific research with a strong interest in academic publishing.

Responsibilities

  • Manuscript Commission: Recommendhigh-quality manuscripts.
  • Peer Review: Engage in the journal's peer review process.
  • Academic Activities: Attend the editorial board meetings and assist in planning and organizing special topics, academic seminars, and other activities.
  • Journal Promotion: Proactively promote the journal via conferences and social media channels.

Term and Evaluation of Early Career Editorial Board Members

  • The journal will issue an appointment certificate to the selected young scholars for a term of 1 year.
  • The editorial board will conduct an annual evaluation, and candidates with excellent performances can be re-elected or promoted to higher positions such as associate editor, or editorial board member.
