The International Journal of Exposome and Toxicology is a gold open access, peer-reviewed journal, published quarterly online by Scilight Press. It aims to foster the development of evidence-based knowledge of toxicology, specially progresses in exposure assessment that concerns single and multiple exposures. The journal primarily focuses on the study of potential associations between environmental exposures and lifelong biological and health consequences.
Importantly, authors are required to provide a clear indication on the real-life relavance of the studied exposure in their submissions.
Scope
Research using cutting-edge approaches on biomonitoring, particularly for human exposure to different synthetic and naturally occurring chemicals.
Innovative research on potential associations between environmental exposures/ecosystem health and adverse health impacts in a lifetime (i.e. human exposome).
Research aimed at policy making and regulation of exposure to synthetic and naturally occurring chemicals.
Epidemiological, clinical, and experimental (in vivo, in vitro and in silico) research on adverse effects of natural and synthetic toxic compounds.
Human, animal and cellular studies reporting protective effects of natural and chemical compounds against different toxicities.
Analytical evaluations and risk assessment of human exposure to different chemicals via different routes, e.g. food ingestion, environmental and occupational exposure, exposure to pharmaceutical agents and consumer products, etc.
Research on development of methods for mitigation of potential exposure to toxic agents.
Research on development of novel toxicity assessment methods.
Research aimed at unravelling molecular mechanisms underlying untoward health impacts (not pharmacological protective effects) of natural and synthetic chemicals.
Research on different toxicological aspects of chemicals of emerging concern.
