Introduction
The Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR) programme invites submissions to Journal of Hazards, Risk and Resilience (JHRR). We are dedicated to advancing community-based disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation (CCA), with a particular focus on innovative research led by young scientists.
As disaster risks intensify due to climate change, rapid urbanization, and socio-economic inequalities, effective risk reduction and resilience building are increasingly recognized as dependent on local contexts, community participation, and integrated risk knowledge. It aims to showcase emerging scientific insights, methodological innovations, and practice-relevant evidence that strengthen community resilience and inform multi-scale policy. We invite submissions from IRDR young scientists and young researchers from IRDR ICoEs, NCs and partners, encouraging the submission of their latest research.
