Aims & Scope

The Journal of Immunological and Allergy Studies is dedicated to advancing knowledge in all aspects of immunology and allergy research. It seeks to provide a platform for the dissemination of high-quality original research, reviews, and clinical reports in the fields of basic and applied immunology, allergy diagnosis and treatment, pathogenesis and therapy of immune-mediated diseases. JIAS is published quarterly online by Scilight Press.

The journal aims to cover all areas in fundamental, translational, and clinical immunology and allergy, offering space for reports of technological advances, therapeutic and diagnostic breakthroughs as well as for reviews and point of views. Studies on hypersensitivity and immune-mediated disorders are particularly welcome, both in humans and in experimental models. Work exploring cytokines, chemokines, and immunomodulatory mediators, their pathways and the intersection with neuroendocrine system is also encouraged. Molecular and cellular immunology, including signaling pathways and receptor biology represent areas of particular interest. Research on microbiota and host–pathogen interactions is highly appreciated, as well as studies on innate and adaptive immunity at local sites, with special emphasis on mucosal ones.

Submissions on immune tolerance, autoimmunity, atopy and inflammation across populations, sex, age and their relation to environmental changes are another focus of studies which fit into the scope of the journal. We also welcome articles on novel diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, including immunotherapy, biologics, and vaccine development. The journal promotes interdisciplinary approaches linking allergy and immunology to microbiology, infectious diseases, oncology, neurology, pneumology and dermatology. Therefore, studies integrating computational, systems, and structural immunology are welcome, as also the use of AI assisted methods for diagnosis and therapy.

Clinical trials and case studies related to immune mediated disorders will be considered, since the journal aims to foster dialogue between basic scientists, clinicians, and public health researchers. The journal also highlights global health perspectives in immunology and allergy. To accelerate scientific progress, communication of emerging discoveries is prioritized and all submissions will go through rigorous but rapid peer review.
