Aims & Scope

Aims: Innovations in Space Research Technology (SpaceTech) is an open access, peer-reviewed journal published online for a worldwide scientific audience. It focuses on documenting progress in instruments and methods for space science in general. It thus covers technology and methodology for a large range of research subjects, e.g., earth observation and space weather, science of the solar system and the sun itself, extrasolar planet discovery and characterization, astronomy, astrophysics, and astroparticle physics. Besides single instruments deployed in space, their conception, construction, calibration, and performance, the journal welcomes publications on systems aspects and innovative methods in data acquisition, filtering, and analysis. SpaceTech publishes short communications, research papers, and reviews on these subjects after a rigorous peer-review process by leading scientists from all continents. It is initially published quarterly by Scilight Press.

Scope: SpaceTech invites submissions from scientists and engineers designing, producing, and using novel instruments and methods on spacecraft for scientific purposes. Papers on the adaptation of laboratory technology to space deployment and the results of space qualification are also welcome. So is the documentation of long-term experience with space instruments as well as protection against damage by radiation, contaminants, and debris.
