Aims & Scope

Aims

Combustion and Emission Control (CEC) is a new, gold open access, peer-reviewed journal that aims to provide a forum for scientists, engineers, policymakers, and other researchers related to energy and environmental issues especially in the field of combustion and emission control. It will cover original research works, perspective and progress reviewer articles focusing on the combustion and related emission control from fundamental to application, including reaction kinetics, laminar and turbulent combustion, combustion laser diagnostic, gas/liquid/solid fuel combustion and related particle matters, SO2, NOx, VOCs, CO2 and heavy metal emission control from theoretical, experimental and numerical simulation. It is published quarterly online by Scilight Press.

Scope

Combustion and Emission Control (CEC) will include but not limited to the following topics:

  • Reaction kinetics development and reduction for combustion
  • Laminar and turbulent flame structure and dynamics
  • Gas fuel combustion i.e. natural gas, H2 and NH3
  • Liquid fuel combustion i.e. gasoline, diesel, kerosene, bio-diesel, methanol and sustainable aviation fuel
  • Soid fuel combustion i.e. coal, biomass, solid waste and metal fuels
  • Emission control i.e. particle matter, SO2, NOx, VOCs and heavy metal
  • Carbon capture and storage
  • Oxygen fuel combustion
  • Chemical looping combustion
  • New combustion diagnostic technology development for species and temperature measurement
  • Application of combustion and emission control technology
