On behalf of the editorial Staff, it is with great excitement that I welcome you to the Journal of Reproductive Health (JRH), a new gold open access journal dedicated to advancing knowledge and promoting high-quality research in the reproductive sciences. In an era marked by rapid developments in reproductive medicine and biology, JRH aims to become a leading platform for rigorous, peer-reviewed publications that inform clinical practice and stimulate scientific dialogue. Reproductive health today stands at a fascinating crossroads between established clinical practice and emerging scientific innovation. In recent years, we have witnessed significant advances in our understanding of the molecular and endocrine mechanisms that underlie fertility and reproductive disorders. At the same time, societal changes - such as delayed childbearing, increased access to assisted reproductive technologies, and evolving concepts of gender and family - are reshaping both patient needs and clinical approaches. Despite progress, major challenges remain. The pathophysiology of conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome, recurrent miscarriage and unexplained infertility is still only partially understood. Male infertility remains under-researched, and global disparities in access to reproductive care persist. Moreover, the impact of several benign and malignant diseases, such as of environmental, metabolic, and lifestyle factors on fertility, demand further investigation.
