On October 6, 2026, Medical Acoustics and Imaging (MAI), published by Scilight Press, held its first Editorial Board Meeting at North Carolina State University (NC State), USA. The meeting brought together Professor Qifa Zhou, Editor-in-Chief, and more than ten editorial board members from different countries and regions.

Discussions were focused on the journal’s academic positioning, development strategy, priority research areas, peer review, and international collaboration. Editorial board members also exchanged ideas on fostering interdisciplinary research and advancing innovation in medical acoustics and imaging.

The meeting marked an important milestone in MAI’s development, strengthened collaboration among editorial board members and laid the foundation for future academic partnerships.
