Aims & Scope

Aims

Journal of Microgrids is a new journal aiming to provide a multidisciplinary and quality forum for scientists, engineers and researchers doing research and technology development in the wide area of microgrids. The journal will host novel contributions to all aspects of the applications of light and its related technologies and their wide range of applications oriented to different microgrid frameworks like energy microgrids, hydrogen and biomass, water micronets, biological systems, seaport microgrids and electrical ships, airport microgrids and more electrical aircrafts, space microgrids and smart medical systems. This will cover studies from applied research to technical developments where microgrid innovations play a significant role. Journal of Microgrids is published quarterly online by Scilight Press.

Scope

This journal disseminates high-quality research articles where microgrids are fundamental for new insights or applications in energy, water, biology, or medicine. It emphasizes interdisciplinary research to address important technical challenges.

Topics of contributions in the journal include, but are not limited to:

  • Energy microgrids
  • Hydrogen and biomass microgrids
  • Water microgrids and micronets
  • Closed biological systems and biological microgrids
  • Maritime microgrids, including seaport microgrids and electrical ships
  • Aeronautic microgrids, including airport microgrids and more electrical aircrafts
  • Space microgrids, i.e. in satellites, space station, lunar/Mars bases and life-support eco-systems
  • Smart medical microgrid systems
  • Digital Twins, cybersecurity and resilient microgrids
  • Artificial intelligence and quantum computing in microgrids applications
