Aims

Nutrition and Treatment of Obesity (NTO) is a gold open access peer-reviewed journal that aims to serve as a leading platform for the dissemination of groundbreaking research in obesity and severe obesity while fostering collaboration among researchers, clinicians, and public health professionals. Treatment of obesity and of severe obesity still represents an unmet need. Medical treatment based on nutritional approaches, more and more with the help of new drugs, stands in face of surgical approach. The future of obesity will be the management of the disease, tailored to the individual patient, with no prejudice for nutritional, medical or surgical treatment.

More, NTO publishes rigorously peer-reviewed research including original research, authoritative reviews, systematic reviews, etc, related to innovations in the field of treatment of severe obesity. NTO is published quarterly online by Scilight Press.

Scope

The scope of NTO covers a wide array of topics related to obesity, including but not limited to:

- Genetic, molecular, and environmental factors that influence obesity
- The relationship between the gut microbiome and obesity, including molecular mechanisms governing gut microbiota regulation and identification of potential biomarkers
- Epidemiology and public health strategies for the prevention and management of obesity
- Effects of physical activity and exercise on health in obesity, and underlying molecular mechanisms
-Nutritional interventions and their effects on obesity
-Surgical interventions and their effects on obesity
-Pharmacological interventions and their effects on obesity
-Psychology and communication in obesity  

By encompassing these areas, NTO aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and contribute to the development of innovative solutions to some of the most pressing health challenges.
