Aims & Scope
Aim
Progress in Circular Economy (PCE) refers to all the activities and progress of reduce, reuse, and recycle in production, circulation and consumption. It is an important route to achieve a resource-saving and environmentally friendly society and is becoming important both strategically and economically.
PCE: An international journal serves as a platform for the progress of novel contributions and outcomes on innovative techniques, systematic analysis, and policy tools of waste management systems to improve the reduce, reuse, and recycle in a sustainable way.
PCE aims at providing comprehensive and systematic solutions to sustainable waste management with involvement of economy, society, and environment to achieve a model of green, low-carbon and circularity development, by means of cleaner production, industrial structure optimization, policy tools and regulations adjustment, green and responsible consumption, efficient and effectiveness management, and preservation of renewable and natural resources, etc.
Progress in Circular Economy is published quarterly online by Scilight Press.
Scope
The detailed scope includes but is not limited to:
- Reduce - prevent waste generation and pollution from the source, and reduce waste for final disposal, including products eco-design; information analysis, green purchase, green applications on energy, water and resources, resource efficiency improvement, efficient management; green consumption.
- Reuse - adopt sustainable strategies to prolong the life span of products, including sustainable consumption, designs and techniques towards reuse, repair, refurbishment, and remanufacturing.
- Recycle - turn wastes into secondary resources, including waste collection and classification; heat recovery; comprehensive utilization techniques; extended producer responsibility system.
- Disposal - develop techniques, designs, operations, and management of waste treatment and disposal engineering in response to circular economy and sustainable development
- Synergy - create comprehensive, systematic, and innovative solutions, ideas, and techniques to promote sustainable management of waste, including carbon reduction and carbon neutrality; zero-waste cities construction; technology integration and demonstration; life-cycle management of materials; green supply chain.
