Aims & Scope

Peptide Horizons (PH) is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing peptide research and its applications across chemistry, biology, medicine, biotechnology, and materials science.

PH provides a comprehensive platform for basic, translational, industrial, and regulatory research related to natural, synthetic, and engineered peptides.

Peptides occupy a unique position at the interface of small molecules and biologics, offering exceptional structural diversity, target selectivity, and functional versatility. The journal aims to foster cross-disciplinary dialogue and accelerate innovation from molecular design to clinical and industrial implementation.

PH welcomes high-quality original research articles, reviews, short communications, perspectives, and case studies covering, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Peptide Design and Synthesis
  • Structural Biology and Mechanistic Studies
  • Drug Discovery and Therapeutic Development
  • Biotechnology and Industrial Applications
  • Peptides in Materials Science and Nanotechnology
  • Computational and AI-Driven Peptide Discovery
  • Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Intellectual Property Aspects

PH aims to bridge basic research and practical applications of peptides by connecting chemists, biologists, pharmacologists, clinicians, engineers, materials scientists, regulatory experts, and industry professionals. By integrating diverse perspectives, the journal promotes innovation and advances the translation of peptide-based discoveries into real world applications and emerging technologies. PH is published quarterly online by Scilight Press.
