Aims & Scope

Aims

PhotoScience Advances (PSA) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that aims to serve as a leading venue for cutting-edge articles include research, reviews, and perspectives in photochemistry and photophysics of molecular compounds and materials. It seeks to foster innovation and collaboration within the global photo science community by publishing high-impact interdisciplinary studies. The journal is dedicated to advancing fundamental and applied research in light-driven processes and technologies. It is published quarterly online by Scilight Press.

Scope

PhotoScience Advances (PSA) welcomes original research and interdisciplinary studies that bridge the fields of photophysics, photochemistry, and related areas, as well as their applications in various domains, such as photocatalysis, photodynamic therapy, and photopolymerization. The journal aims to publish work of broad significance to both academic and industrial communities, with a strong emphasis on novel insights and technological applications. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Advanced photophysical phenomena
  • Emerging photochemical reactions and mechanisms
  • Functional materials for photo-related energy conversion and storage
  • Biophotonics and biomedical applications
  • Theoretical and computational photophysics and photochemistry

The journal encourages submissions spanning fundamental discoveries to applied innovations, particularly those addressing challenges in energy, sustainability, and healthcare through light-based technologies. Manuscripts that are only minor extensions of previous work or contain mainly descriptions of the preparation or synthesis without a detailed mechanistic or application study will not be considered for publication.
