Aims & Scope

Aims:

Remediation Ecology (RE) is a gold open access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing the theory of remediation ecology, while simultaneously facilitating the solution of critical eco-environmental problems. The journal aims to provide a platform for innovative research that explores the treatment, restoration, rehabilitation, and management of polluted or degraded ecosystems impacted by human activities, and climate change. It focuses on integrating ecological principles with eco-environmental practice to foster sustainable development for the human society. In addition to novelty and significance of research, RE considers the relevance of submitted manuscripts to its broad readership. It is published quarterly online by the Scilight Press.

Scope:

  • Ecosystem diversity, structure, and function under natural and human stress
  • Human-ecosystem interactions and public health
  • Ecological treatment and remediation
  • Ecological restoration
  • Ecological rehabilitation
  • Ecosystem services and ecological management, including green infrastructure and ecosystem-based solutions, ecological mitigation and adaptation of climate change
