The urgent global transition toward sustainable energy systems has placed advanced catalysis and energy storage technologies at the forefront of scientific innovation. These emerging fields play a pivotal role in enabling efficient energy conversion, accelerating the adoption of renewable energy, and supporting reliable energy storage and grid stability, all of which are key to achieving a carbon-neutral future.

In response to these global challenges, Science for Energy and Environment (SEE) is pleased to announce a joint Special Issue on Energy Catalysis and Storage, organized in collaboration with the 8th Energy and Environmental Catalysis Conference (NYHJCH 2026), held in Changchun, China, on July 17–19, 2026.

This Special Issue aims to highlight the latest advances, innovative approaches, and emerging trends in energy catalysis and storage research presented at NYHJCH 2026. We warmly invite all conference participants to contribute their original research articles and comprehensive review papers. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
