The International Workshop of Photosynthesis Ecophysiology, 27-29 Nov 2026, Wuhan, China
Published on 27 Nov 2026

Welcome to the International Workshop of Photosynthesis Ecophysiology

Photosynthesis is the fundamental process connecting plant productivity, terrestrial carbon cycling, and ecosystem sustainability. Understanding how plants capture carbon, regulate water use, and respond to environmental changes is essential for advancing our knowledge of plant adaptation in a rapidly changing world.

The International Workshop of Photosynthesis Ecophysiology will bring together leading researchers from around the world to discuss recent advances in photosynthesis and plant ecophysiology across multiple biological scales — from molecular mechanisms and leaf-level processes to whole-plant performance and ecosystem responses.

The conference will provide a focused platform for scientific exchange among invited experts, fostering in-depth discussions, knowledge sharing, and future collaborations within the global photosynthesis research community.

Through lectures, presentations, and interactive discussions, participants will explore emerging concepts and future directions in understanding how plants optimize photosynthetic performance and adapt to environmental challenges.

Scientific Scope

The event will explore recent advances in the ecophysiology of photosynthesis, spanning new technical and theoretical developments, light reactions and carbon metabolism, CO₂ diffusion, and the links between photosynthesis, productivity, survival, and water-use efficiency.

Invited Speakers

The event will gather internationally recognised researchers contributing to advances in photosynthesis, plant physiology, and ecological adaptation.

Invited speakers will share recent discoveries and perspectives covering diverse aspects of photosynthesis research, from fundamental mechanisms to ecological applications.

We are honoured to welcome leading scientists contributing to the advancement of photosynthesis research and plant ecophysiology.

Confirmed Speakers

Additional speakers may be announced as the conference programme develops.
