Bioengineering Horizons (BH) is a gold open-access journal and strives to establish itself as the leading publication for impactful, integrative bioengineering research that provides practical solutions to global challenges through applications of biological systems. We focus on publishing work that goes beyond incremental improvements to establish new paradigms in the field, enabling rapid development from conceptual frameworks to practical deployment while promoting ethical and sustainable technological progress. We seek to reduce the gap on conceptual innovation and real-world implementation of tangible application. We support translational ideas in fields such as healthcare, regenerative medicine and biomanufacturing to produce sustainable products to meet the needs in agricultural, bioenergy, environmental restoration and climate resilience. More
