Preclinical and Clinical Gastroenterology & Hepatology (PCGH) is a peer-reviewed, open-access, international journal that aims to serve as a publishing forum for clinicians and translational researchers in the fields of gastroenterology, hepatology, and pancreatology. The ultimate mission of this publishing platform is to foster knowledge exchange and technical advances in the fields of gastroenterology, hepatology, and pancreatology, to improve holistic patient management. PCGH is published quarterly online by Scilight Press.
PCGH invites high-quality submissions relevant to clinical practice and translational research in gastroenterology, hepatology, and pancreatology. Accepted article types include original articles, reviews, perspectives, short communications, editorials, clinical trials, and case reports.
Clinical studies may cover medical, endoscopic, radiological, nutritional, and pathological aspects of gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic diseases. Submissions featuring instructive images or videos that aid in diagnosis and management are welcome, as are reports on advances and innovations in existing clinical techniques.
Preclinical studies may address key issues such as experimental therapy, biomarker development, molecular imaging, genetic and epigenetic research, and cellular or molecular investigations using in vitro, in vivo, or ex vivo models. Particularly encouraged are studies employing advanced models - including organoids from patient tissues or iPSCs, organs-on-chips, 3D-printing, precision-cut slices, and humanized mouse models—combined with omics approaches to help translate basic findings into understanding human diseases.)
