Aims & Scope
Aims
Photochemistry and Spectroscopy is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing original, cutting-edge research in the fields of photochemistry and spectroscopy. The journal features a range of article types, including short communications, full-length research articles, and review papers, and covers all aspects of photochemical and spectroscopic phenomena. Manuscripts that address molecular and materials structure-related challenges using both experimental and theoretical approaches are welcome. The journal is published quarterly online by Scilight Press.
Scope
Photochemistry and Spectroscopy welcomes research on fundamental chemical and physical processes involving interactions between light and matter, including biological systems. In particular, the journal seeks contributions that explore a broad spectrum of spectroscopic and non-spectroscopic techniques, as well as computational methodologies, aiming to further our understanding of photosciences and spectroscopy, with a particular emphasis on studies that integrate both theoretical and experimental perspectives.
Articles describing spectroscopic research using either low or high energies are welcome. Examples of photochemical/photophysical subjects cover by Photochemistry and Spectroscopy include, among others, the mechanistic investigation of photochemical reactions, quantum yield determinations and measurements of rate constants for photochemical processes; atmospheric photochemistry and single molecule spectroscopy and photochemistry; photoluminescent sensors; solar energy conversion; photocatalysis.
Manuscripts that focus solely on routine work, minor extensions of previous research, or those not specifically related to photochemistry or spectroscopy will not be considered for publication.
