Aims & Scope

Proteomic Science (PSci) is an open-access journal that aims to publish original research contributing to the elucidation and interpretation of biological systems through the language of proteins. The journal welcomes studies that address any biological phenomenon or process in model and non-model organisms, including prokaryotes, unicellular eukaryotes, plants, animals and humans. PSci is published quarterly online by Scilight Press.

From a methodological perspective, PSci publishes research based on both classical and state-of-the-art strategies for protein profiling, post-translational modifications (PTMs), and protein interactions. Studies focusing on the integration of proteomics data with other -omics approaches (such as genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, and metabolomics) for validation and systems-level understanding are highly encouraged. The journal also emphasizes functional validation of proteomics findings. Contributions aimed at translational applications are welcomed, including those related to biomarker discovery, biomedical research, agroforestry, environmental sciences, food technology, and other industrial sectors.

PSci values original and innovative basic research, as well as advances in experimental (wet-lab) protocols for in vitro and in vivo analyses, and developments in bioinformatics and computational tools that enhance proteomic data analysis and interpretation.
