Published on 21 Oct 2026

Dear Scholars,

Over the past year, under the leadership of Editor-in-Chief Prof. Dapeng Wu, Transactions on Artificial Intelligence (TAI) has continued to focus on cutting-edge directions such as generative AI, autonomous systems, AI security, and trustworthy and human-centered AI, driving academic innovation forward.

Every step of the journal's growth has been made possible by the intellectual contributions of our authors, the rigorous standards of our reviewers, and the dedicated efforts of our academic editors. To recognize the outstanding scholars and editors of the 2025–2026 academic year, TAI has selected this year's award recipients. We are now pleased to announce the winners:

2025–2026 Award Recipients

Excellent Editors

Honoring the academic editors who provide solid scholarly oversight behind the scenes and ensure the efficient operation of the journal.

Assoc. Prof. Luntian Mou (Beijing University of Technology, China)
With years of dedication to the field of AI art, he has actively solicited high-quality submissions and rigorously evaluated their academic quality with a professional perspective, making significant contributions to the content development of TAI.

Assoc. Prof. Wei Bao (The University of Sydney, Australia)
Alongside a heavy academic workload, he has consistently maintained efficient communication with the editorial office and actively assisted with invitation efforts. With a high sense of responsibility, he embodies the reliability and dedication of an academic editor.

Outstanding Authors

Awarded to scholars who have published high-quality research in TAI, reflecting frontier exploration of core AI theory and methodology.

Assoc. Prof. Qingchuan Zhao (City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong)
Contributed two high-quality research articles, with outstanding article impact metrics — demonstrating academic depth through concise and solid output.

Prof. Lanjing Zhang (Rutgers University, USA)
Enriching the journal with outstanding research, while also enthusiastically helping to promote and disseminate it. An author, and more importantly, a fellow traveler of TAI.

Best Reviewers

Awarded to scholars who have consistently provided high-quality review reports with professional insight and rigorous standards, safeguarding the academic credibility of TAI.

Prof. Zhi Jin (Sun Yat-sen University, China)
Every review report is meticulous. Her keen academic insight once identified a serious flaw in a manuscript. She upholds academic standards without compromise.

Dr. Zhengjie Yang (City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong)
The number of reviews he completed consistently ranks at the top, with every manuscript carefully evaluated — reinforcing TAI's review process through both high frequency and high standards.

We offer our sincerest congratulations to all our award recipients!

Academic editors keep the journal running smoothly, authors fuel new ideas, and peer reviewers stand as the guardians of rigorous science. Looking ahead, we hope to keep partnering with scholars across the globe to build a trustworthy AI ecosystem together.
