This topic issue focuses on the application of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) techniques in studying the structural and dynamic changes in interactions among biological macromolecules (such as proteins and nucleic acids) and between these macromolecules and drug or metabolite molecules. It aims to illuminate the underlying molecular mechanisms of life processes and showcase the latest research progress in the fields of protein–drug and protein–metabolite interactions.
