The journal Health and Metabolism (HM) will soon launch a topic issue titled “High-Resolution Mapping of Dynamic Molecular Conversations: NMR Insights into Protein–Drug and Protein–Metabolite Interactions” and would like to sincerely invite you to contribute either a research article or a review article or a perspective article to this topic issue.

This topic issue focuses on the application of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) techniques in studying the structural and dynamic changes in interactions among biological macromolecules (such as proteins and nucleic acids) and between these macromolecules and drug or metabolite molecules. It aims to illuminate the underlying molecular mechanisms of life processes and showcase the latest research progress in the fields of protein–drug and protein–metabolite interactions.

Scope of submissions includes, but is not limited to:

• NMR-based structural biology of proteins and their complexes
• Protein–protein and protein–compound dynamic interactions in cellular signal transduction
• Enzyme–protein and enzyme–metabolite dynamic interactions in metabolic regulation
• Dynamic conformations and interactions of biological macromolecules such as DNA, RNA, peptides, and polysaccharides
• Dynamic conformations and interaction networks of proteins in living cells
• Structural basis and formation mechanisms of protein phase separation
