Aquatic Life and Ecosystems (ALE) is a gold open access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to disseminating high-quality research that advances our understanding of the biology, ecology, and sustainable management of aquatic organisms and ecosystems. It promotes integrative and multidisciplinary approaches to studying aquatic life, encompassing molecular biology, physiology, behavior, ecology, and evolution. The journal supports developing applied research that informs conservation strategies, habitat restoration, sustainable fisheries and aquaculture practices, and environmental policy. ALE seeks to serve as a comprehensive platform and vital resource for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers involved in aquatic sciences and ecosystem management.
